
The Oxford Museum Association brings fun, free, educational activities to the community all summer long! Running from June through September The OMA will bring all the classic activities you love and more.
- June 6th and 7th-It's Your Churn: Help to churn fresh butter and try samples of what we've made! Doty Farm, 12 pm-4 pm
- June 20th and 21st-Old Fashioned Laundry Day: A hands on event teaching how laundry was washed in the 19th and early 20th century. Break out the lye soap and washboards! Doty Farm, 12 pm-4 pm
- June 27th and 28th-Freedom on the Frontier: Did you know that Zachariah DeWitt raised a company of mounted riflemen that fought in the War of 1812? Join Zachariah and some of his human and equine friends in the year of 1816 as they reminisce about their experiences and celebrate the 40th anniversary of American Independence! DeWitt Cabin, 9 am-4 pm
- July 4th and 5th-Independence Day Ice Cream Social: Come out and learn how ice cream was made at home and taste your creation! On Sunday the 5th, join a member of the 6th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry and his cavalry horse to learn about life in the Civil War and how soldiers observed Independence Day away from home. This event is still in the planning stages-there may be local ice cream favorites available to purchase in addition to the free samples created on site. Stay tuned for more details! - July 25th and 26th: Pioneer Crafts: A crafting day with candle dipping and pocket doll crafting! We will bring the supplies, you bring the creativity! DeWitt Cabin, 9 am-1 pm
- August 8th and 9th: Tin Punch Lanterns: Light up your room in style with this classic decorative craft! Create and take home your own tin punch lantern. Doty Farm, 12 pm-4 pm
- August 23rd and 24th: Intern Event: Our interns get to devise and execute an educational history-based program each summer. Keep watching for what they bring to the table this year!
